the big picture

but of course life's not all sunny mornings,
painting peacefully with the boys,
enjoying sweet baby smiles,
and delighting in my girl

it's also up-all-night
comforting the coughing, feverish ones
and your being cries for rest
through aching body and runny nose

exhaustion beyond  imagination

yet appointments must be kept
and dishes pile up
while laundry mountains grow
and trash begins to stink

and everyone still wants to eat

so you gulp the coffe down
and try to breathe in deep
and you pray for super-human Grace
to keep on going, keep on loving

and somehow strength is there

Oh! Sending you quiet nights, long baths, warm cups of tea, sunshine and smiles - hang in there xx

God's grace, one moment at a time for a day at these times seems endless. Hope you soon have a good night's sleep, or at least some pieces of sleep....

Hope you and your babes are feeling a bit better by now. Go easy on yourself - you are doing a beautiful job raising four amazing kiddos! That is a ton of work each and every moment of the day. Loved the sneak peak into your journal and your Valentine's day mugs are amazing. I will have to try painting on mugs - thanks so much for sharing. Big hugs and best thoughts to your and your beautiful family!

Being a mom is the hardest job! (Best, but hardest.) Hope everyone in your household gets well soon and you get rest! Hang in there! Good thing for coffee. :)
