from blood stains, spotless white
from hideous death, glorious life
from binding burden, soaring flight
i stand transformed, in awe
and bow in humility
before God
a God
who loves
who never gives up
who stops at nothing
to transform
barren, desperate people
and dark, hopeless situations
into landmarks of beauty and life
